Eden Mir

Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, in 1975, Eden Mir is a multidisciplinary visual artist, designer, and writer. He studied Graphic Design at UNIVA and specialized in art with renowned teachers such as Rita Vega, Mariela del Río, Manuel Bautista, César Plascencia, and Omar Ortiz. His work encompasses painting, printmaking, sculpture, drawing, and literature, solidifying a career guided by aesthetic sensibility and symbolic thought.

Eden Mir's work is characterized by its ability to reinterpret the everyday through a visual narrative imbued with imagination and technical precision. With a style that moves between magical realism, hyperrealism, and neo-surrealism, her pieces invite viewers to discover the extraordinary within the ordinary. Her output ranges from graphite and watercolor drawings to complex oil paintings.

She has exhibited individually and collectively in various museums and galleries in Mexico, the United States, and Europe, notably at the Gateway Art Center in New York, the Florence Biennale, and the Colorida Art Gallery in Lisbon, Portugal. Her work is part of important collections such as those of Banco Bansí, the Mexican Ministry of Finance, the Black Coffee Foundation, and private collections in countries including Russia, France, Spain, Chile, and the United States.

His creative process stems from reflection and emotion; he sketches his ideas in notebooks before transferring them to the canvas. Each work is a visual journey where architectural, mechanical, and literary elements converge, giving rise to impossible objects that evoke wonder and contemplation. His work is not only pictorial: he also writes and illustrates stories as part of an intimate project that arose with his daughter, Eveth.

Eden Mir considers art an inevitable act, a form of self-defense and love, where each piece is the result of a personal and spiritual transformation. Her work, which moves between the fantastical and the analytical, represents a narrative universe with its own soul, in which the viewer is invited to dream, imagine, and discover.
