Juan Salmón

Juan Salmón is a visual artist originally from Guadalajara whose work is distinguished by its unique language based on signs, abstractions, and iconography. Since entering the art world in 2008, and especially after being influenced by urban graffiti in 2010, he has developed a vibrant artistic approach that blends the emotional, the symbolic, and the sensory, creating authentic visual maps for the viewer.

His style is characterized by the use of intense colors, dynamic compositions, and a constant exploration of materials and disciplines. Salmón conveys intimate moments, profound emotions, and personal experiences in each work, transforming them into visual energy. For him, artistic creation is a ritual act, where the canvas becomes a space for spiritual connection before, during, and after the creative process.

Juan's inspiration comes from both his daily life and sound art. Each stroke stems from a sensory recapitulation, where music acts as a catalyst for abstract forms and natural structures that intertwine in his work. This fusion has led him to consolidate a unique artistic identity, recognizable for its intensity and expressive capacity.

Her work has been recognized in various venues and competitions: she received an honorable mention in the Jalisco Young Painters Competition (2018), and has exhibited at the Hospicio Cabañas, the Pacha Moma Museum in Irapuato, the Fiesta Americana Punto Sao Paulo Hotel, and LARVA (2022). She has also participated in urban art projects such as the macro mural at the Urban Art Encounter in Querétaro (2020), in addition to exhibitions in Tlaquepaque and other cities in the country.

Juan Salmón is currently preparing a new solo exhibition and continues producing murals of varying sizes. True to his artistic convictions, he uses painting as a tool to narrate his life journey, leaving a record of the changes, emotions, and processes that mark his creative path.
