Pablo Arteaga

Born in Guadalajara in 1986, Pablo Arteaga is a visual artist and musician with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree specializing in painting from the University of Guadalajara. From childhood, he grew up surrounded by creative materials thanks to his family's stationery store, which sparked a genuine passion for drawing and painting. Throughout his career, he has explored different techniques and artistic movements, remaining true to a versatile and expressive style.

Pablo Arteaga's work is characterized by its depiction of everyday life, rural and urban landscapes, memories, elements of the dream world, and allusions to Mexican death. His style ranges from figurative to abstract, employing vibrant colors and compositions rich in symbolism. For him, creating art is a form of meditation, a constant search for aesthetic and spiritual answers that reflect his worldview.

His creative process begins with an image or theme that inspires him, allowing him to flow freely during the development of each piece. Through color and form, his works offer multiple interpretations and seek to connect emotionally with the viewer. Enjoying the creative process, with all its challenges, is an essential part of his artistic practice.

Pablo has presented his work in important cultural spaces such as the Art San Diego fair (2015), the Museum of the City of Guadalajara, the Pacha Moma Museum in Irapuato, the Juárez Light Rail Station Gallery, and No Somos Nada Gallery. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions at venues such as the Ex Convento del Carmen, the Jorge Martínez Gallery, the Tlajomulco House of Culture, and other cultural institutions in Jalisco and Hidalgo.

He is currently working on two solo exhibitions focused on contemporary Mexican landscape painting, one of painting and the other of printmaking, planned for the end of 2023. His work continues to evolve strongly, consolidating his presence in contemporary Mexican art as a creator who transforms the everyday into a plastic language with identity and character.
