Roy Barba
Roy Barba, a multidisciplinary artist from Guadalajara, holds a degree in Conservation and Restoration of Movable Cultural Property from the Western School of Conservation and Restoration (ECRO). His technical training has allowed him to develop exceptional mastery in the use of materials and processes, which is reflected in the precision and richness of his works in sculpture, printmaking, and oil painting.
He is particularly noted for his talent as an anatomist, a quality evident in both his sculptural and pictorial work. This skill has led him to explore the human body with a sensitivity and precision that transcends the academic, incorporating an aesthetic and conceptual weight into each piece. His expertise has also extended to his graphic work, with series of prints focused on the animal world that reveal an expert command of this technique.
